About Me

I have spent most of my life working around birth. My career began as a Labor and Delivery nurse in a busy, high-risk center in Hawaii. The work was exhilarating and gave me a strong foundation in birthing care. During those early years, I fell deeply in love with birth and developed a profound respect for what our bodies are capable of. Yet I realized that I longed for a more sustained and personal connection with the families I served. This led me to pursue a Nurse-Midwifery degree through OHSU.

For more than 25 years, I have worked as a midwife in both private practice and as part of a large hospital-based midwifery team. My passion for service has taken me abroad, where I had the privilege of volunteering with pregnant people in Rwanda, Haiti, and the Dominican Republic.

Over the years, I have cared for families navigating everything from straightforward pregnancies and unmedicated births to high risk pregnancies with complex births. These diverse experiences now serve as the foundation for the services and programs I have created.

It has been an honor to witness each unique pregnancy and birth, and I am profoundly grateful to the thousands of families who have trusted me with their care. To date, I have caught over 3,500 babies and supported countless others through pregnancy and postpartum. Each family has taught me something new, and together they have shaped my understanding of what it means to be truly present in care.

Midwifery is more than a profession for me—it is my life’s work. I am honored to share my knowledge, experience, and passion with you.
